Water Pump Completion Reports — Proof of Your Donation

Every water pump donor receives a personalised completion report confirming that their pump has been installed and is operational. The report includes photographs and details of the beneficiary community. Hand pump reports are typically issued within 2-3 weeks and solar pump reports within 2-3 months of donation.

What's Included in Your Completion Report

HNCO's completion reports provide full documentation of your water pump installation. Each report includes:

    Photographs

Multiple images of the installed water pump, including the dedication plaque if applicable

    Installation Location

Details of the installation site and the community served

    Beneficiary Details

Information about the community served, including number of families and location

    Installation Confirmation

Confirmation that the pump is operational and the community has been trained in maintenance

    Dedication Plaque Photography

If you dedicated your water pump in someone's name — whether in honour of a living person, in memory of the deceased, or as sadaqah jariyah — your completion report includes a photograph of the installed plaque.

The plaque displays your chosen dedication text (up to 25 characters) and is visible in the report photographs. Many donors share this image with family members or use it to confirm that their memorial donation has been fulfilled.

    Report Timeline

The time between donation and completion report depends on the pump type:

    Hand Water Pump

    2-3 weeks

From donation to installed pump and completion report

    Solar Water Pump

    2-3 months

Faster than other charities thanks to HNCO's efficient process

Donors who do not receive a completion report within the expected timeframe can contact HNCO directly. Delays are most commonly caused by seasonal construction restrictions in Pakistan (monsoon season) or Africa (rainy season).

    How Completion Reports Are Delivered

Completion reports are sent via email to the address provided during donation. The report is delivered as a PDF attachment or a link to view online, containing:

    • High-resolution photographs of the installed pump
    • Dedication plaque image (if applicable)
    • Installation location details
    • Community and beneficiary information
    • Date of installation

If you need your report resent or have not received it, contact HNCO with your donation reference.

    Sharing Your Completion Report

Many donors share their completion reports for different purposes:

    • Memorial donations: Share with family members to show that a water pump has been installed in their loved one's name
    • Gift donations: Present the report to the honoured person as proof of the charitable gift
    • Fundraising: Use the images and details to inspire others to donate
    • Personal records: Keep as documentation of your sadaqah jariyah

    HNCO's Commitment to Transparency

Completion reports are part of HNCO's commitment to full transparency and accountability. Every water pump project is tracked from donation to installation, and donors receive documented proof that their funds have been used exactly as intended.

HNCO's fund allocation and published accounts are available for donors who want additional verification. The donation process is designed to ensure that every penny reaches the ground.
